CHICAGO – The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) is proud to host the 18th Annual Transportation Symposium and Business Exchange on Thursday, November 12 at the South Shore Cultural Center, 7059 S. South Shore Drive, Chicago from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The networking and informational event serves businesses interested in doing business with local transportation agencies. It is presented in collaboration with the Chicago Transit Authority, Metra, Pace, Illinois Department of Transportation and Illinois Toll Highway Authority.
The symposium is specifically aimed at construction companies, professional service firms, manufacturers, architects/engineers and suppliers, as these businesses may provide transit-related products. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, Minority Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises and Veteran-Owned Businesses are strongly encouraged to attend to obtain valuable information regarding the best way to seek transit agency contracts.
“Transit agencies in this region spend billions of dollars annually on goods and services needed to help keep our transportation system moving,” said RTA Executive Director Leanne Redden. “We are fortunate to work with a variety of businesses every year and see this symposium as an opportunity to grow our network of vendors.”
Advance registration is strongly encouraged. For more information, email TSBE@RTAChicago.org or visit the symposium website at www.illinoistransportationsymposium.com.
