RTA closing customer service offices in response to COVID-19, staff working remotely, March Board of Directors meeting canceled

CHICAGO – In response to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the RTA is making several changes to the services it offers riders in the region.
RTA customer service offices are closed as of Monday, March 16, until further notice. Please do not travel to any of these sites for assistance. The RTA staff will work remotely and help is available by phone for the programs described below.
The RTA has also canceled its March Board meeting, scheduled to be held on Thursday, March 19. The RTA Board of Directors is next scheduled to meet on Thursday, April 16.
“The RTA’s top priority is the health and safety of agency employees, customers, contractors, and vendors,” said Leanne Redden, RTA Executive Director. “We remind everyone to follow the advice of the Chicago Department of Public Health, the Illinois Department of Public Health, and the Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
