Board Meetings

During the COVID-19 pandemic, RTA Board of Directors and committee meetings will be held online at www.rtachicago.org to ensure the health and safety of all staff, Board members, and the public. The Board and committees typically meet at 9:00 a.m. on the third Thursday of each month. Complete meeting packets are posted on this page at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.

To join the meeting as an attendee, please register on WebEx Events. To view the meeting online, please visit YouTube Live. To access previous Board meetings, please visit the RTA Meeting Archive, which has recordings since December 2014. For recordings prior to that, please call the RTA at (312) 913-3200.

The RTA encourages public participation in its electronic meetings. To comment, email
communications@rtachicago.org by noon the day before any meeting. Staff might contact you for clarification. Except when too lengthy or numerous, comments relative to RTA business will be read into the record during the meeting. Regardless of length, each comment will be provided to the RTA Board and included in that meeting’s minutes. Please scroll to the bottom of this page if you need assistance to participate due to a disability.

Meeting Schedule

The meetings of the RTA Board are subject to the provisions of the Illinois Open Meetings Act. All records, documents and papers of the Authority, other than those relating to matters concerning which closed sessions of the Board may be held, shall be available for public examination, subject to such reasonable regulations as the Board may adopt. The public is welcome to attend RTA board and committee meetings and address the board during the public comment portion of its meeting.

Individuals Needing Assistance
The RTA will provide reasonable auxiliary aids or services necessary to afford an individual with a disability an equal opportunity to observe the proceedings of this meeting.  Persons requiring assistance are requested to notify the RTA by calling the Office of the Board Secretary at (312) 913-3219 or TTY (312) 913-3111 well in advance to provide sufficient time to make necessary accommodations.
