The RTA Joins the Fun at Family Safety Fair

The Illinois Tollway Authority and the Illinois State Police hosted the 10th Annual Family Safety Fair at the Tollway headquarters in Downers Grove this past weekend. The RTA joined Metra and Pace to give families information on transit services as well as promotional materials like coloring books and railroad signs. It was a hot day, so a special thanks to Pace for providing a cooling bus on site!
The Family Safety Fair was the final event of the 2017 Operation Kids Identification and Safety Seat (K.I.S.S.) campaign. It also coincided with Child Passenger Safety Week (September 17-23) a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration campaign. The Fair offered a wide variety of kid-friendly entertainment and activities, including interactive exhibits and demonstrations Illinois State Police District K-9 unit, Jesse White Tumblers and lots more.
