Summer is winding down and school is about to start, but that doesn’t mean we still can’t have fun!
One great Chicago summertime activity is watching movies at the neighborhood park. Hosted by the Chicago Park District for its 19th season, “Movies in the Parks” brings big-screen entertainment to local parks. Movies in the Parks is part of Night Out in the Parks, which features more than 2,000 cultural & arts events in parks throughout the city each year.
Driving to parks can be a challenge; some require parking permits, and at others it can be tough to find a parking spot. Don’t worry: most of our parks are accessible by transit! It doesn’t matter if we’re watching movies at the theater or at the park. We can all agree, taking public transportation to the movies is the way to go!
