RTA Wins Award for 2019 Budget Presentation

Even as the public comment period is in progress for our region’s 2020 proposed transit operating budget and capital program, the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has announced that its Distinguished Budget Presentation Award will go to the RTA for the 2019 regional transit budget. This marks 23 consecutive years that the RTA has received this prestigious award.
This award illustrates the RTA's long-term commitment to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting, satisfying several nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation. The GFOA is a nonprofit professional association serving nearly 19,000 government finance professionals throughout North America. Its Distinguished Budget Presentation Awards Program is the only national awards program in governmental budgeting.
